Re: 750 H2 Triples

Ah, no special powers, sad to say.
My purple H2C (pictured) is the import and once of Mr Brett.

Re: 750 H2 Triples

I have one of those. I’ve never ridden the early ones, so I can’t comment on them. This one is ex Mr Brett, going by the title certificate, an import from the Land of the Free, (not Texas, the other bit). The bike is unusual in that it is often well-mannered, good-tempered and great fun. Occasionall...

Re: Wanted: Z900 or Z1000 Cylinder block

I have one too if you get stuck or another forum member can’t help.
My spare block has been recently vapour blasted. It is a 900 block bored to 1000 by the previous owner. It has the 1000 pistons and a brand new set of rings ready to fit.

Re: Z900a4 Pinstripe Help

Andrew Thank you very much for your kindness. Sadly I have given the painter my tailpiece to match with, which has painted pinstripes. However if I have to buy the pinstripe decals you kindly recommended (thank you again) to help him finish the job, then I will. I think though that I’m still going t...

Z900a4 Pinstripe Help

Forgive me if this has been covered before. I did carry out a search for pinstripes before posting. The paint shop (man) I’ve asked to paint my diamond dark green Z900a4 tank has no measurements for that pattern of pinstripes. I gave him a lot of photos but he’d like measurements or a tracing. Does ...

KH400 Exhausts

I have a set of KH400 exhausts up for sale. This forum has been good to me and I know some of you have triples in the stable hence I thought to put them here first. They've been in my loft for years, they haven't been polished but I've washed most of the ACF50 and road grime off them. They came stra...

My A4

I have a set of wire wheels to be restored and fitted but I like these cast wheels so much I can't bring myself to do it.

Oh yes.
Of these I have no idea of value. I'll put those in an auction I think and let the people decide.

Z900A4 Vance & Hines Exhaust

This year I have been mostly spending every free hour and a vast amount of money encouraging a large old American tractor to move under its own power. That was followed by riding the thing (which weighs about the same as my house) and stopping it from hitting trees or trying to clear a path through ...

Reach for the mallet

Sage advice Wise Ones, thank you.

The tank did come from our friends at Z Power. It seems to be living up to expectations.
I'll have a go at the rubber pucks following your guidance.

Broad Sunlit Uplands

Today I spent a happy dozen hours pushing my Z900 up the slippery slope to some sort of completion. The sun was out and all four pipes were on. Today was also that chilling point where there is a need to have the engine run for the first time. Naturally a carefully and expensively rebuilt top end an...

Life's rich tapestry...

My year-long refresh of a Z900 is stumbling to an ending. I have never carried out a frame-up rebuild before, so this has been a learning event. I cannot paint things, weld things, plate things, mill things, turn things or any of the creative skill-hungry things that seasoned restorers seem to have ...
