Re: ZRX front mudguard - any condition
Hi Rob, that would probably be good but it seems too good to cut down! I’m liking your billet yokes I’m thinking they may be just the job for my 1000J

Re: Z650 Special Revisited
Got the 650 fired up today finally. Usual dodgy starter clutch issues even though I replaced everything when I rebuild the engine. Ugh. Can live with that though. Carbs need a bit of fettling but will be spot on after a wee tweak. Just need to finish my brakes and add a chain for test ride.

ZRX front mudguard - any condition
Hi all looking for a ZRX front mudguard to use on my 650 project. It could be broken or cracked etc as will likely cut it down a bit anyway. Anything cheap and scabby would work. Thanks Lee

Re: Dyna DS2-2
See pic. looks like it lines up ok with the plate for the magnets but definitely too much play?! If it lines up with the pick ups you just need to loosely shim up the gap between the end of the rotor and the 17mm nut. However i would check the security of that magnet as some are known to work loose...

Sure you've got the right advancer?

Re: Dyna DS2-2
I’ll fit it on Saturday and if the magnet lines up ok then I think I can space the slack out somehow. Let’s see how it goes!

Re: Dyna DS2-2
I've never had to add a spacer that I recall on any 650 ones I've done. Sure you've got the right advancer? Hmm that’s a good question warren. This is I belive Z750E advancer (1013) marking. But it is a z750E engine so that’s what I went with. I would have thought the lengths would be the same but ...

Re: Dyna DS2-2
Might aswell fit a Chinese copy off ebay. A third the price and everyone Ive fitted has performed perfectly. Alledgedly made from the same components in the same factory as Dyna just without the stickers. Approx £75 against £225 Hi Warren I went for the Chinese option! Finally got myself an advance...

Z1000J Forks
Nice set of J forks removed from my French Model J2. Stumbled across them yesterday - on eBay too but prefer to go to a member. Chrome is excellent on the stroke area. Couple of very minor marks above that but will be good as they are. Will need seals and paint of the legs. £140 posted in the UK.

Re: Z650 Special Revisited
Nice job on the carbs :up Looks like a bit of hard work ! What did you use to shift the black paint ? I've a clutch cover here I've coated with Nitromors twice now but it seems the modern stuff just doesn't work - its only rattle can black I'm trying to shift - it'd be quicker to just scratch the p...

Re: Z650 Special Revisited
Hi All Not posted for a while so thought I would update. It’s progressed a good bit. I built my first ever scratch built wiring loom, well happy with it as it’s a tenth of the size of the factory one and has all the functions I needed. (Ignition and lights) lol. Any nice to haves were junked. Kitted...

Advancer for z650 vs 750
Hi All, sorry maybe an obvious question but I’m finishing off my z650 build and I’m missing an advancer. Ive built a z750 engine for it and It came with electronic ignition. However I’ve binned it and gone for Dyna S type unit, but I still need an advancer. Now I notice the 650 and 750 have differen...
