Engine oil advice please

Whats the general opinion on engine oil, its for a z1000 a2 1978, it only gets used in the summer and i was wondering if there was an advantage in using a 20w 50 semi synthetic, any thoughts greatfully accepted.

Regards phil

After having ridden her the upgrade to twin front brakes is a must, i have a zrx1200 and thought they were poor but in comparison they are fantastic.

They look good but the 1000 silencers have their outer manifold down pipe welded to the silencer with down pipes 2 and 3 floating, opposite way round to the 650 and the ends are Dunstall copies so if I cut the cone off to use it, it would not match my other mint oe silencer.

Thanks for the offer that would be very helpful, just the diameter where the cones are joined and the length of the end cone would be great, many thanks.

Z1000 a2 exhaust

I have an exhaust silencer which needs a repair, I'm considering cutting the reverse cone off a z650 exhaust and tig welding it to my damaged exhaust then having it rechromed, any one know if the 650 cone is the same as the 1000? Or any better ideas, anyone have a lovely nos offside silencer sat doi...
