Re: Two stroke action in Derby
Is it me or did the RD400 (the one with the block pattern sorry think its E but dont know) come with wire wheels when it was first released and alloys were an extra? If you mean the blue one (Marine Blue) then yes they did, the mag wheels were optional extras at £30 if memory serves me right, and i...

Re: Is this a Z900 or Z1000 Airbox?
Thank you all. The air filter fitted in my photos is for a Z1000 and it fits like a glove. I didnt realise that the Z900 uses a longer filter (the taller filter stack is shown in the other photos kindly posted) so it looks like I have a Z1000 airbox. Cheers, Rob Not like my uk z1000 uk bike airbox....

Re: Is this a Z900 or Z1000 Airbox?
I've just checked, my A4 is in bits so it was just a matter of taking some pics, I will say it's a UK bike, had original exhausts, long rear mudguard, original switch gear etc. etc. so I find it hard to believe that someone took out the airbox and then replaced it with this :?: https://i.imgur.com/7...

Looks exactly like my 900A4 airbox but without the filter cover and snorkel, sell it for a fortune and buy this for half the price --> https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Kawasaki-Z1000- ... SwfshbBaBh

Re: 1100R forks/brakes
From fork leg mounting lug to disc is 14mm (caliper removed for measurement ), caliper mounting bracket is 6.2mm thick, these are as close as I can get give or take .0*mm
Measurements were taken a couple of times so they're pretty accurate I hope

Could consider a Z1A or B
Stick to what you really want Andrew, you'll only regret spending your hard earned on 2nd choice models even though they're pretty similar, but if you must... a Z1B super candy blue is hard to beat in my opinion

Likewise Gavin, nice bikes mate, and on the wheel front, if he doesn't use it I'll put it back up on here or he can move it around his garage for a while

Re: Z1000R2/ Z1000J Front wheel (FREE)
It appears you cannot give stuff away, so if not gone by next weekend, it will be a trip to the local scrap yard and see if they want it for free. The local council yard won’t touch it because of the tyre I have a mate who will use it if it's still available, I'm only the other side of Doncaster so...

The one on eBay is a slightly rough but all the important stuff is there and it seems well documented ... No one wanted that one, reserve not met at £3,900 (I didn't bid, I've been down the resto route a few times, it's expensive and more to the point, time consuming), I've been offered a few now, ...

Re: Carb leaver.
The rubber cap is the same as Yamaha used on their TS and XS model choke levers, the levers are a different length but you could bin that if it's just the rubber you need.
If you want to spend £16 then you could get one from Yambits --> https://yambits.co.uk/tx650-choke-lever ... 55917.html

Thanks Neil, yes I saw that one and contacted him, hopefully I'm sorted with someone else... that one on eBay looks like a true survivor (liked I'd know )
