thats great info.....thanks everyone,basically just wanted to know about engine/s-arm fitments etc for a race project can save meself a few quite by buying a shaft chassis rather than the more elusive z9/z1000 frame

frame compatibility

is there much difference between z9/z1000 and a z1000 shaft frame? i would imagine pretty much the same at the front of the loop its the rear section i was wondering about?
are they wider at all at the swinging arm pivot point

ok thanks for trying brett......just finished off glueing the heat shield onto the airbox so i'll try that back in place .....might need some tweaking.....then next week i think it's electrics i hope :roll:

depends what yeh gonna use it for...........for road use i think everyone would say 1170 is big enough,leave it single plug and just freshen up the head

maybe saturday nite :D http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq243/6407raf/P1010466.jpg trying to a new thing of insulating the airbox,running cool air into the carbs = more bhp,so would keeping the charge air even cooler= even more bhp...........???? think i've read somewhere about cooling the fuel do...
