Thanks for the reply Rickm, I have found a Gpz 1100 B oil take off with oil pressure relief valve built in _ so I presume this could be used to fit an oil cooler toa Z1000J ?

Just a little concerned about the height of the auxiliary fuel supply!
The pressure head is much more than the stock one - the fuel tap is only just above the height of the carbs?!

I think the Alarm Trip Mine is not legal to use for your garage etc. They use blank 12g shotgun cartridges - which I would expect you wouls need a Shotgun Certificate to get hold of anyway?

Calipers - Grimeca (Lockheed replicas) the same as mine are £115 each with pads (not the best, but they're still pads!), or good second-hand ones do appear from time-to-time... Do you have a link for the calipers or which bike they came from? I found these but don't know if they are the correct one...

I think it is a known fault with the Z1000J and possibly Z1000R ?
The cylinder bores were not completely round and hence the piston rings could not seal properly.
I believe a rebore was the fix at the time?
