Jim,
Hopefully the attached letter received back from DVLA will give you encouragement.

No response so far, but still hoping to hear from the current owner.... Jim, Write a letter enclosing a SAE asking after the bike explaining what your interest is and send it to the DVLV requesting they forward it to the last recorded/current owner. They will do this for you but will not disclose w...

Good luck with your search Phil, I had owned many bikes and for family reasons waited 40 years to own a Z900! Like you, I posted a wanted thread on here and in May 2017 I eventually bought a great original 1976 UK A4 (below) owned by a club member. You've done to right thing in joining the Z1OC foru...

Re: petrol tank clean

What's the state of the paintwork, are you intending to have it repainted?

If not, be careful on what product you use otherwise you may damage the existing paint.

Hi Folks, :up Many thanks for your kind words and best wishes for a speedy recovery all of which are very much appreciated - oh, and not forgetting the generous offers to ride my bikes and drive my TRs until I get my licence back.... Please don't make the same mistake as me. Best regards Andrew

Health Warning: you never know what's round the corner.....

Sadly, since returning from a 3-week/3,000 mile Euro driving holiday in my 1972 Triumph TR6 (car) on the 26 June I had a stroke a few days later and spent 7 days in the Acute Stroke Unit at Frimley Park Hospital, Camberley where I remained under the excellent care of the NHS nursing staff. I'm now r...

I've always liked the R90S, a mate bought a new smoke grey one in the mid-70s after trading in his Z1A. - he later chopped it in for Jota.

Re: UK Grab Rail differences: Z1, Z900, Z1000

I thought the models from 76-78 (Z900A4 and Z1000A1 & A2) had the indicator mounts on the OEM grabrail, whereas the earlier bikes had frame mounted rear indicators. Cheers Tim Thanks Tim, Just checked Dave Marsden's book and my mate's UK Z1 and yes, the UK Z1 rear indicators were fitted to the ...

UK Grab Rail differences: Z1, Z900, Z1000

Hi Folks, Is there any difference between the Z1, Z900 and Z1000 UK grab rails? - the spare one I have is exactly the same as the one fitted to my UK A4 with the exception that it has a small hole drilled on the underside of the grab rail which doesn't appear to have been drilled post manufacture (n...

It was shite, auto jumble was 99% old brit. The classic show was all brit bar an a4 and a h1. Just like the Kempton Autojumbles. Fine if your want something for your old Brit and some nice Brit stuff to look at, but having now done 5 or 6 in hope, I'll not do anymore - unless I buy myself a T160 Tr...
