Re: 1972 Z1 Recommission / Rebuild - Vin # Z1F-01173

Hi James,

That's a great job and all credit to you on how you've gone about it - I'd say that's how it would have appeared in a dealers showroom in the mid-late 70s.

Cheers
Andre

Re: Secret Hodna breaks cover

The CBX looks great Tim, well done on doing a great job - it's a bike I always wanted but never bought. A mate ('Dangerous Dave') bought a US spec Z model a few years ago, I rode it and found the power delivery awesome and almost turbine like - shame his bike's brakes weren't up to the performance, ...

Hi James, Saw this thread on the SOHC, not sure how I've missed it?! The Z1 is coming on very nicely and I'm a particular fan of originality (not to the point of counting rivets though!) and I really commend you for the approach you're taking with it - looking forward to seeing the finished ...

Excellent set of photos, it's great to capture memories like that - wish I'd taken more photos in the 70s and 80s!

Re: Z900. 124,000 miles old.

That's a very nice UK Z900 - :up you can't beat a bike with history like that! Any photos from the past? My Z900 (PRE 2R) also came from Kustom Kawasaki (see sig block) new on 1 August 1976 - our bikes were probably PDI’d by our Pres, Jerry, who worked at Kustom Kawasaki at the time. https://sconten...

Re: Dual Sport

We're pretty lucky these days, I always carry an Epirb and on longer trips I usually get hold of a Spot Tracker which allows others to follow my progress and also the ability to send pre set SMS if I need help due to a breakdown where there is no threat to my health. I'm in the early planning stage...

Re: Z1

Not sure how I've missed this post, but it just goes to show what looks dead in the water can be brought back to life - not too many years ago a bike in that condition would have been broken for parts. Good work Tim in saving another Zed, all credit to you matey! Out of interest, what state was the ...
