That's how it works in this club, we don't stiff each other. Phil will remember the Z900 centre stand I left for him at the club stand at Stafford in 2019 for a donation to the club's MND fund in memory of Phil Churchett.

Re: WANTED: Z900 A4 Rear Rim

Brake plate sorted and on it's way from Nigel (Ultim8pc), still looking for a straight undamaged rear rim with decent chrome dated around 5L (Dec 75) but ideally not too much earlier.

Please PM me if you have what I'm looking for.

WANTED: Z900 A4 Rear Rim & Brake Plate

I posted this back in mid-2020 and a lot has happened in my life since then, so I'm back on the hunt: My A4 was built on 6 Feb 76 but at some point was fitted with a later rim (303 882: Aug 82) and Z1A/B brake plate with the wear indicator sticker on it. So I'm looking for a straight undamaged rear ...

Stunning! Reminds me of my B1 I had back in the early 80s.

Re: Rear rim identification?

Thanks Adrian, although would Kawasaki have still been manufacturing replacement rims for the Z1 - Z900 in 1982 as I thought all their high capacity bikes had moved to cast wheels? Interestingly, it’s also got a Z1B brake drum cover fitted, so at some point Phil had replaced the rear wheel set up. ...

TIA! :D

Somebody has preferred the Z1B badge… :D

And who can blame them. :biggrin

Rear rim identification?

My A4 (built Feb 76) is fitted with rear rim date marked 303 882. I believe that dates it to August 1982 - any ideas what it’s originally off? It’s round and still works, so just curious.

My A4 is mostly original and I believe the foot pegs have been on since new, so I would say the right one is correct - one of us is right.......

Last Z900 rideout of the year??

Last ride of the year before salt hits the roads, who knows? But had a great rideout yesterday afternoon just round the lanes of Surrey and Hampshire. It was a bit nippy (7C) and even nippier when the sun went down, but who cares!
