The Carbs were not injured in any way, it is simply I have not red lined the engine as it is not run in. The bike has had so little mileage it really has had no time to run in. It does not run badly, it runs well, but the z1000 carbs are not designed for the Z900. I have z900 carbs I paid a fortune for and they were cleaned by experts and so called experts on dynatune and they ended up with rich high setting and 106 main jets stuffed in them and still did not work.
