Re: MK11 - WOW!

I do like a MK11 but not in its standard form, that big square rear tail light looks weird with such a spindly little tyre below it.

Now, if it's a Sanctuary special... Mmmmmmm!

Re: Z1-A going back to the Grave(Diggers)

I like these threads, I find them very uplifting to see a once forgotten bike brought back to life.

Re: Z1000A2 Project

As Fer says, you may want to put a new rear tyre on whilst it's laid up as you don't know how old it is  Surly until the tube starts to poking trough there's no need to replace the tyre, isn't that the ol skool tyre depth marker? :beam Absolutely! There's another 1000 miles left in that surely...

Re: Z1000A1 respray and details

Nice! I like a plain black tank and this one didn't need any striping to make it look the absolute nuts. Probably the most famous Z1000 of all time!?

Checking my fluid levels the other day, I noticed mine is cracked.

Re: Health Warning: you never know what's round the corner.....

Jeez Andrew, I've only just seen this post (I rarely look at the bottom of the forum) so am shocked to hear your now old news.
As others have already said, I hope your recovery is complete or as close to it as possible and that well see you on the Big Zed again next summer.

All the best

No, nothing holding it in except friction!

Re: Harris road baffle

Just reigniting this old post as I would like to get my road baffle out and butcher it to make a race baffle (if that can be done). First problem is getting the damn thing out of the exhaust - it seems to be stuck solid and there is no screw holding it in either. Any ideas? https://i.imgur.com/q0YtL...

Re: Petrol cap removal

Getting it out is a breeze with a like-size drift/punch and gentle tapping. Putting it back in a freshly painted tank will make you sweat more!

I spent quite some time making templates and painstakingly cutting out my foam replacements back in April and could have really done with these then!

I don't know the answer to your regulator / rectifier issues but can advise you to change your side panel rubbers... soon!
