Re: Belgium Z rally 2019

I would love to do this one and there's even an outside chance CB could be tempted along. I'll call Tony and Carol and see if they'd like to join us. Sounds like a plan's coming together :D

Re: 2019 Warsteiner rally Germany

Thanks for that Scott. CB has pointed out that we're going off to Malta the following week and it might not be good for business for me to have another extended break so close. Shame as I really fancied it :(

Re: 2019 Warsteiner rally Germany

What's the score with a B&B/hotel in the locality? I'd love to come providing there is a proper bed to use. Don't have camping gear and don't want any - my day of camping are long gone. I can't deal with the hangovers resultant from drinking enough to sleep in a field  Anyone else doing hot...

Re: Great Yorkshire rally 2019

Sad to say we can't make it as we'll be bikeless in Malta :bawl

Given the talk of an alternative venue, did you change? Folk need to know for B&Bs.

We haven't been able to find a new venue so ours is probably not on this year, unless anyone can suggest a venue. :(

South West Rally

Since Dawn pissed everyone of last year and it was made clear CB and myself that many wouldn't come if it was at the same venue we have given up on the Wagon & Horses. Problem is I have been stupidly busy and have been unsuccessful with trying to find a new venue. Unless somewhere else can be fo...

Re: Did Kawasaki use non setting gasket

I think they used Kawabond, which is very similar to 3 bond.

I personally swear by Wellseal.

I hate to think KHI would have missed out a knock pin

Re: Z1000H value

I personally wouldn't give more than a grand for it as you'll need to spend some serious bucks on it to make it halfway nice. What you have there is effectively a MKII with lots of bits missing but H numbers? There's a lot of original bits missing if you wanted to make it standardish. GPZ B FI is mu...

Gorgeous looking bike. A bargain at the price I would humbly suggest.

Re: Anyone help?

I also have a set of CR33 perfectly set up for a 1170cc engine that are spare and on the shelf. As per Al's comment I wont trust them to post though. I am mid-way between Swindon and Oxford if Al's option is no good. I'd need them back most likely just after Christmas. Many thanks Martin. My friend...

Anyone help?

I have a friends Z1000R ELR on the bench. Was pretty sure that the carbs were dug 'n' ducked so he bought a set of CR29s and I fitted them and took it to a dyno shop to set it up. They were eleventy billion miles out and no amount of messing about got a decent curve. Air/fuel was all over the place....

ELR Rings

I have club members Z1000R2 (ELR) in the workshop currently.

I have to pull the top end off and thought that fitting new rings might be an idea. I was looking at a set of IMD rings. Are they the same as Z1000J series ?

Another fabulous rally! Thanks so much to Phil & Sandie for all their hard work in organising another triumphant rally. Shame the soft northern pussies wouldn’t join Hobbo on a rideout! We tough Southerners were raring to go

Re: Z650 Hydraulic Clutch?

I have bought another final drive case to attack! I have also ordered a 900R master cylinder and slave. I doubt the slave will be suitable but it will give me a piston diameter to work from and a piston in the unlikely event it's not fucked! Watch this space
