Re: New Years Day Treat

Re: My 78 kZ1000 A2

A couple of hours with some 'Blue-Job' chrome polish powder yesterday and the much shinier Doremi's are back on the bike.
I was quite surprised how well the 'Blue-Job' polish worked.
Let's see how long they stay this colour.

Alf at 'Alf's motorcycles' in Worthing finished the setting up and tuning and I picked her up last Saturday. I have managed to put more miles on her in the last couple of days than I did in the l...

I would imagine the spoked wheels from the 1978 kZ1000 A2 would be your best bet.

My 1978 'KZ1000 A2' is fitted with a spoked rear wheel that has the four bolt disc mounted.

Re: Old oil cooler fittings ? Advice please.

chrisu , Thanks very much for the quick reply. I took a closer look after your advice and can see what you mean , the pipe is doing externally what the standard oil pressure switch housing does internally.

zed1015 , thanks for the offer but I have got one ordered and on it's way.

Am I correct in assuming that this is where an oil cooler was one plumbed in and when removed they just looped this piec...

Re: New member from Sussex

Thanks for the welcome everyone and for the pointers to the various garages/mechanics. I decided to have a go at sorting the starting and running myself. I just did the basics , a new set of plugs , points adjusted , new fuel lines , new air filter , a good dose of carb cleaner and she's running lik...

Hello from down South , it has taken a bit of time but finally , after 34 years , I have returned to Z ownership. I have just picked up this 1978 'KZ1000 A2' and have to say that it's a credit to the last two owners , imported in 96 , fantastic condition. There are one or two little jobs to do , mai...
