Carburetor Slide Lever
So I whipped off the carbs to fit my newly acquired airbox and noticed that one of the slides wasn't moving smoothly. Popped the top cover off and discovered that the little peg on the side of the lever that connects it to the slide connector has come adrift from the lever and the slide connector wa...

Oil Pressure Switch Body for a Z1B
Have decided to remove the Lockhart oil cooler and its dodgy hoses completely rather than faff about replacing the hoses, but to do this I need to find an oil pressure switch body (hope I got the name right). Can't find anyone offering a new pattern part for this, so if anyone has one spare, or know...

Re: How to find out original colour
Thanks for the replies. It's a US import and had already been repainted. DVLA says 1974 Green but the frame/Engine numbers come up as 1975/Z1B. I guess they just have whatever the importer gave them at the time. I'll look for previous paint as suggested. If that doesn't work, I'm thinking the blue l...

How to find out original colour
Almost ready to get the Z1B painted. It's currently in the Z1A Candy Tone Green, but I'd like to go for a Z1B colour this time. I don't really have any preference but I like the idea of taking it back to its original colour if I can. Is there any way to find this out, based on the frame number perha...
Re: greetings
OK, fair comment! I'm currently replacing some electrics, so it's a bit stripped down in the garage at the moment. But here's a piccie of when I bought it back in '98, just after it was imported. Just have to decide how much I'm going to do to it; not a big fan of the 16" rear, or the battered ...
greetings
Hi All Had my Z for about 20yrs years now, it's a 1990's US import, Green/Yellow Z1A colours and 1974 on the V5 but based on the frame/engine numbers I'm thinking it's actually a Z1B. (Will be double-checking this). I've got a lot of work planned over the next few months and a lot of parts to find, ...
