Re: Rusty Tank

Deox C works perfectly, leaves it bright and shiny inside and doesn't harm paint.

Re: Finally decided to succumb.

I ran Dyna S with standard coils for a couple of years and then fitted dyna coils. As people have already said, there is a very noticeable difference in how it runs with Dyna's It is very easy to incorrectly space the Dyna coils from the frame as you can barely see the coil body making contact - I'd...

Re: Backwards bolt?

I have always found cheap easy outs can snap all to easily and leave a piece of hardened steel inside the sheared bolt. The methods outlined earlier in this post are much better options IMHO.

Re: Auxiliary fuel feed

Worth remembering too that it is very easy to Inadvertently suspend a temporary fuel bottle much higher than the normal tank level, giving an increased head of pressure which can overwhelm the float needle valve, particularly if old. Carb Intake Rubber LH

Does anyone have a decent LHS inlet rubber they will sell me? Its the one between air box and carbs on a Z1000A1/2 As per the photo below.

Cradley have them on back order and I am reluctant to buy a full set as the other three are all good.

Thanks

Re: Fuel tap.

I had lots of fuel tap issues and found a Pingel to be a fit and forget solution - not original but just works. As someone has already said, Non genuine needle and seats often cause problems. Allens do genuine Mikuni ones at reasonable money.
