Re: Z1R colour

Hi alfacity the official colour name is "metallic stardust silver". Kawasaki doesn't give the formula to mix the paint :down but there's a substitute colour. It's named "Havasu Blue" and it's found on the 2004 model "Hodna" Acura MDX cars. Perhaps your local paint suppl...

Re: Mk2 exhausts

Hi z shed

Z1000H exhaust might be the same but Z1000ST exhausts are certainly not the same!
The Z1000J exhausts looks the same but have other stamping on them.
Good luck with the search.

Re: Z1B Restoration

Hello men the past two weeks were a little hectic but I managed to do some work on the Z1B, a lot of parts are sprayed mat black and are ready to be mounted on the bike...but that's for later. In the mean time I've been rebuilding the carbs. They were in a very deplorable state and needed a full res...

Re: Z 1000 St E2

Hi Avon that's a correct ST seat, a good seat pan, not rotten, the rubbers at the correct place. Don't worry about the fit around the tail piece, it's a normal fit. You can always try to bend the seat pan a bit at the rear so it might get closer to the tail piece if you really want that. I wouldn't ...

Z1 Z1A Z1B Key Holder rubber

Hi men a member from the German forum makes key holder rubbers, those little things to put in the "black hole" above the ignition switch of a Z1 , Z1A, Z1B . Some time ago members asked for that part. That part is available now, you can buy it for 35 Euro a piece + P&P 5,70 Euro to the...

Re: Z-Day 2018 in Belgium

Hi Peter it's a compliment for the Kawasaki factory to see that after 43 years their product is still running and riding with the "original parts" on it. Allthough it's not beautifull to look at, it's a bike that pops out of the crowd! :!: And certainly a testimony of the quality of the or...

Re: Z-Day 2018 in Belgium

Hi Gonzo the Z1000S was changed in Germany. The Z1R didn't sold very good there an then so the German distributor decided to do something in order to improve the sale numbers . They changed the 4-1 exhaust by the 4 in 4 of the Z900A4 and changed the original 13 liter fuel tank by a 22 liter fuel tan...

Z-Day 2018 in Belgium

Hello men went to the Z-Day in Houthalen-Helchteren (Belgium) yesterday. Left at 8 a.m. and arrived there at 10.00 a.m. ... too soon! The people who arrived on friday and spent the night there were still sleeping. Some of them were allready up and had breakfast. So I took the opportunity to take som...
