Re: JAPANESE CLASSIC BIKES event

Hi there as promised a few pictures from the Japanese Classic Bikes meeting. I left this morning at 08.15 AM and drove to Genappe. The road went along the battlefield of Waterloo and the RV point was at a road café "Driver 1". To my knowledge unique in Belgium, a café-restaurant-workshop-g...

Re: Z1000-A2 Carbs

Hi guys checked the docu on the German website and my Z1000A1... I was wrong, the carbs of the A1 and of the A2 have both the mixture screw underneath the carb, near the intake rubbers, so not as I mentioned above. The main difference is the vacuum port on the 3rd carb. There are allso other ...

Re: Z1000-A2 Carbs

Re: Z1000H or z1000 mk2

Hi guys changing one model to another is easily said but not so easily done. If the frame is the same, if it has the same dimensions and angles you could give it a try. Finding all the correct pieces for an MK2 or an H will be very difficult. Some parts are really made of "unobtanium" or h...

Re: Z1A (USA spec) wiring loom

Hi Bill the red and the blue wires which are joined in the main loom continue into a blue wire for the current for the meter lights. The blue-red wire gives current to the oil lamp in the dashboard and is not connected to the joined wires described above. Are you sure that the blue-red wire is an or...

Re: Tool kit nearly complete... axle wrench extender??

Hi Damien as Garry mentioned above: to my knowledge there's no logo on it. Their could be some differences throughout the years but I can't tell them. I have several tool kits for my bikes but I never paid attention to the possible differences of that part. So if you can find one, use it! GrtZ Phili...

Re: Z900A4 Questions

Hi BigZCas don't worry about your bike, it seems to be OK and very original It was manufactured in August '75 in Japan. It was imported in the US and then exported to the UK. It was not manufactured in the US but destined for the US market hence the KZ nomination, one front disk brake rotor, short r...

Re: Chrome Removal

Hi BigZCas

I know it works for steel parts. The chromer can remove the chrome from those.
If the process can be reversed with alloy parts... I don't know. You better ask the chromer. He's an expert after all.
I know it's very hard to remove it yourself ...
Good luck

Re: A4 Carb T-Pieces repair?

Hi cancunia

if you can find fuel resistant, heat shrinking insulation you can use that to repair them, use a small part of the unsulation around the T-piece and heat it ; it should do the job.
or you can buy copper T-pieces with O-rings and use these.
Good luck
