We went out for a spin one day and stopped off for a coffee, when we returned the z1000 was gone. We made some enquiries and witnesses told us that a Luton van had pulled up and so...

Re: z500

Great bike, I had one( my first big bike) rode it everywhere and went to my first TT on it. Alfa pipe with no baffle sounded awesome.

A rare beast indeed, I'm sure there wouldn't have been too many registered brand new over the water. Don't know for sure but I'm assuming the cost of bringing it over here and registering it etc would be pretty hefty now.

Re: Z1R Battery

Don't know about you guys but I find modern batteries haven't a patch on the old ones that were full of lead! Today's are as light as a feather in comparison. In recent years I've been using motobatt, they're a tad pricey but last a lot longer especially if you're laying the bike up for long periods...

Re: Z1B carbs

Thanks for that guys, being a lazy bigger I hadn't done any research on the subject but found some info this morning on zpower's site refering to the change of carbs during the z1a's production run. I've seen a set from a Z1A going for reasonable money, I'm not worried too much about originality so ...
