Hi all , that was not the end of the story after all! Even with the flasher relay replaced,today still only had 9.6 v at battery.Even with engine running this would only increase marginally but flashers and headlamp were ok.So I fitted a new battery as suggested in your replies and allseems good now...

Thanks all for your help. Today replaced old regulator and rectifier with Z power combined unit.-No change, so did more poking around and removed the flasher and hazard relays-.Now the bike charges and everything ok,except flashers obviously. Borrowed the same two relays from my other Z and everythi...

Regulator or rectifier?

Bike-Z1000A1 Problem- Battery shows 9 volts with engine off. Jumps to 12 volts when on tickover but goes DOWN when revs are increased.Neutral light /rear light flicker on tick over, Indicators flash too quickly and battery does not charge.
