Cripes, how much can you salvage, engine, carbs and wheels and possibly front fork lowers? Is the frame sound?
Big respect for you and Philippe, these 20+ year old finds would test even experienced builders i'd imagine.

Looks a fun project, it's all there, just needs a severe clean and a few grand or 5 thrown at it :wink .

Will the engine fin be much of a problem to repair? and those carbs are seriously gungy - how could they get in such a state, even if it was left for 20 years?

On two rusty tanks I've used Petseal tank sealant. First I put lots of nuts and bolts in the tank and shook them about (don't forget to remove petrol tap filter assembly obviously) to remove loose surface rust. The second time I used Petseal it didn't harden and always felt waxy, maybe I didn't mix ...
