Ones on my ZZR214 are a nightmare, under buckets so cams out. Pushing a ful...

Re: Z1000a1 - not sure what I have or where to start

Before my Z1000 got really modified I had Billet six pots on it - actually better brakes than the Tokico six pots on it now but I digress - it transformed the bike. Screw originality you need proper brakes even that's your only mod - from road placement, riding in traffic all sorts - before I got t...

Re: Recommended Oil

Semi-synthetic 10W/40. I wouldn't use fully synthetic as it could cause clutch slip and also I don't think it's recommended with a newly built engine.
Use oil specifically blended for motorcycles.

Speaking of 70's tv, has Petrocelli finished his house yet?

Re: Calipers

Yes good explanation Needaz thank you, my next question was won't two calipers provide a uniform force to both fork legs but you've answered that as well.

What is the advantage to having radial brakes?, which most performance bikes now have as standard.

Re: Calipers

Why do some models have the calipers mounted behind the fork leg, and some, like the Z1000, in front with a piece of metal brake line?

I recall that the dealers couldn't shift them even at £700 or less, so who would thought-its a lovely piece no doubt

Yeah bit like the XS750 which I mention as recently one was up for nearly 7k.
