as baz has said easier and i suspect a lot cheaper to repair the frame (jigged of course) otherwise you would need a frame and a logbook, the frame would be the reg number, you could transfer the number to the new frame as long as it did not make it look younger ie n reg to p reg you would also need...

As Philippe said all depends on what you want to spend and your skills, i would always go the best most complete that you can afford some parts can be elusive and command a premium but it is the journey you will enjoy
