I've been thinking about upgrading by rear brake to something like this, for my 1978 Z1000A1.
Is it still for sale ?

Re: Viton choke plunger seat replacment service for Mikuni VM carbs.
My A1 runs really rough on the choke, starts ok but 3 and 4 are always cooler until it warms up.
I've always suspected worn carb parts as its done over 60k. I'll probably take you up on this service once I get the carbs off. Are the replacement rubbers easy to get ?

Starter Gear Z1000 A1
I'm looking for a starter gear with needle bearing and rubber damper, its the early type with what looks like a 22mm bearing ID - ideally just the bearing and damper but can't buy these anywhere.

Just wondering if anyone has a set of Rearsets for a Z1000 A1 they'd like to sell, I've been looking at Tarozzi's.

Re: Cannot get float heights correct
Did you get it sorted in the end ? I did my A1 float heights recently, took a few attempts but was okay - hard to get it perfect on an old bike.
I'm no expert but I'm just down the road in Old Warden - I'll take a quick look if you want ?

Thanks Paul, I've ordered one from John Browse now, hopefully should do the trick - still after brake light failure switch.
