Re: Spare bits for LH switchgear needed - 70s Zeds
Thanks for all the info guys. I had a go at it with Plastex and it worked ok (well I've reassembled it and it hasn't fallen apart yet).

Re: Spare bits for LH switchgear needed - 70s Zeds
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Will follow these up. I do also have a Plastex kit that I might be able to do a decent repair with.

Spare bits for LH switchgear needed - 70s Zeds
Hi all I'm refurbishing my switchgear (Z1000-A1) and the plastic bit where the dipswitch attaches is broken. See photo... I might be able to fix it but it's very small, so... Anyway, I figured these were the same on most seventies Kwacks, but an eBay search has been fruitless. Anybody out there got ...

Re: Brembo discs
I think a lot of people used Lockheed discs for racing back in the good old days. I had them on my Harris Z1000 too. I suppose the problem now will be that whatever make you go for they will look 'modern'

Re: Z1000-A1 inner plastic rear mudguard
Might work out cheaper to get your original repaired - I used these guys afew years ago to repair a cracked zx9r fairing and it came back looking like new. https://www.plastics-surgery.com/ I dare say there are others dotted around the country just as good In the meantime I found my old inner mudgu...

Thanks Kev! Yes I contacted Phil and he said they can't get any now and don't know if they ever will again
Looks like it's the States then.. cheers
Or maybe not... comes to $178 with shipping... I might try John Browse

Thanks Keith - I know Z Power have these too; the fittings look the same as mine but mine doesn't have those 'dent like' shapes in it. Not sure if Z1 one like this would fit?
Cheers

Z1000-A1 inner plastic rear mudguard
Hi Zed heads Looking for the plastic front section of the rear mudguard assembly. My old one is split in the middle and all chewed up around the bolt holes. I can bodge it for the time being but anyone got a spare? Zed Power no longer do them (although they have the Z1 ones which are a bit of a diff...

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
Yeah I had a Motobatt on my ZX6-R and it was OK but doing those terminals up tight is a worry as they seem likely to break. However, at one point I needed to borrow the battery for my Triumph (it's the same battery) and then I replaced the one on the 600 with a Yuasa AGM one, which has 'normal' term...

Re: Z1000-A1 pattern clocks fittng
Thanks all, yes spoke to Phil and they do one and I can see from the photo that it has a bigger space in the centre of each clock bracket. Also appears to come with the foam vibration damping stuff.

Z1000-A1 pattern clocks fittng
The Z1000-A1 that I bought in bits came with lots of new spares, including some Hi Level clocks - but they don't fit the original bracket. The bulge on the back of each one fouls the bracket; the fittings etc otherwise line up as they should. Looks like I might be able to file away sections of the b...

Hi Andy. Sorry been a while since I logged on. The rear rim is a 4.5 x 17 so not as big as a modern bike. 150/70 rear tyre.
