Steering head lock removal
Hello, I have a mongrel Z1000a2 in a LTD frame. I don't have the key for the cassette/barrel lock already fitted to the side of the steering head. I've got a replacement from Z Power but what's the best way to remove it. I'm quite capable of being an animal with a drill but am I missing the obvious ...

Re: Z1000 A1/A2 exhaust 4 into 1 downpipes/manifold
Resurrected the wanted advert dated 5/523. Someone had several items for sale I think after PM, but disappeared/blanked so couldn't progress
I'm still after a system to adapt so has anyone got anything for sale. Send PM if have anything of use and not wanted.

Z1000 A1/A2 exhaust 4 into 1 downpipes/manifold
Does anyone have the above going spare as I want to adapt an end pipe to make a complete system. Condition is not that important as I'm not bothered about chrome. Not bothered about scratches but minimal rust acceptable.

Re: Frame differences
Thanks for the meaningful reply Chris, I'm glad you knew what I was trying to get at. It would appear that the 1000 Ltd and Z1/900 have very similar rear droppers (wider angle wise) as I've previously tried looking at different model diagrams etc but nothings clear and I wasn't sure if mine had been...

Frame differences
Morning everyone, I’m after a bit of advice from any knowledgeable Zed nerds willing to enlighten me. I have a beautiful mongrel Z1000 which has a Ltd frame and a a1 engine. It was imported from the US and registered in 1989 over here. Over the last 4 years I’m sorting it to how I want it. What is t...

Re: Z1000 Vance & Hines exhaust
I've currently got a Harris work's collection I changed from black chrome to period Matt black. Now I want to get a Delkevik short and stubby like my GS1000, but this time in ceramic coated black ( all without the wife finding out)

Z1000 Vance & Hines exhaust SOLD
Vance & Hines 1978 chrome 4 into 1 exhaust for sale. It's off my 1978 Z1000a2. Very good condition, see photos if I can manage to attach them to this message. If not, patience and no snide remarks please. Not my cup of 1970s tea. £200 plus postage. Ideally I can meet whoever wants it from Leeds ...

Re: Metric fine thread sizes
It's for the set of 4 disc bolts. I was not sure as my old thread gauge is not that reliable. I thought it was 1.25 also but then started doubting myself. Thanks, I'll get a decent 1.25 tap set

Metric fine thread sizes
Am I right in thinking that M10 metric fine is 1.0 mm pitch. I need to clean out all the threads out on my alloy wheels for the discs. I want to make sure I get the right good quality set size.
