Re: Andrews cams don't fit

Just another observation based on personal experience. What you dont say is if the motor was all running and serviceable before it went to your man. I had similar issue with one of my Unitrak motors. Everytime the cams were torqued down the motor wouldn't turn over. Turns out previous owner had lost...

Re: Anyone help?

I also have a set of CR33 perfectly set up for a 1170cc engine that are spare and on the shelf. As per Al's comment I wont trust them to post though. I am mid-way between Swindon and Oxford if Al's option is no good. I'd need them back most likely just after Christmas.

Re: Harris Build

How much fun was getting the motor in? My Suzuki engined Magnum was like one of the Chinese puzzles you used to get in crackers at Christmas. The only way was to lower the frame over the motor, twist, tilt, turn and prey. Never taking that out again!

Re: Harris Build

The metal that is used in cylinder heads of this vintage is similar to cheese. It’s not helped by probably everyone that’s ever removed the cams winding the bolts down against the spring resistance from the valves springs. From personal experience you are really lucky if you don’t have a buggered th...

Re: Gpz1100b1 wheel options...

My Lawson has 18 inch CMA 3 spoke wheels in stock forks at front. Rear is Kipkawa Z1000S replica but ZRX11/1200 swinging arm virtually goes straight in, looks good and keeps twin shocks. My old Unitrak track bike ran FZR600 forks at front with GSXr Slabbie wheels front and rear. 750 Unitrak will giv...

Re: Harris Build

top tip for magnum alloy tanks. Fully pressure test for leaks before you go for paint...... Mine had a hairline crack along the seam at the bottom right of the tank. Only showed itself after an expensive paint job and being sat with fuel in for a week. Empty tank, strip and line. Problem solved for ...

I would normally go to Cassington on one of mine but I was freezing my nuts off doing a trackday in Brno. Heatwave (and summer in general) seems to have missed Czech Republic
