Z1/Z1A/Z1B Wanted

If anyone is looking to part with their pride and joy, a good friend of mine is looking to buy one. He is wary of Ebay etc. and wants to buy from a trusted source. Doesn't need to be concourse but a good tidy runner. .........and then maybe he will stop pestering me to buy mine! :D :D :D Thanks

Re: Stafford - October 2022 - Call for bikes.

I've just read right back though this thread for the first time and noticed there are a couple of dissenting voices on having an RS on the stand a Stafford. Just to be clear , I am not pushing this and if the general consensus is that an RS is not appropriate I will willingly withdraw, no iff or but...

Re: Stafford - October 2022 - Call for bikes.

Very nice :) I've one on order from Chris Walker You will love it. I've only done a few miles as it has pi**ed down all week but it feels a bit different to my previous 2018 model. Could be just being new and therefore all a bit tighter, although my other one had only done 5000 miles. Seems to be s...

Re: New member with "Z1 project"

Happy New Year to one and all and apologies for the dreadfully late progress update. The Z1 had actually came along quite well last year until I got distracted with other things . Anyway, Father Christmas brought an early Christmas present (900RS) so though I had better have a pic. of the old and th...

Lower folk yolk differences Z1 -Z900

Hi Does anyone know if the lower fork yolk design changed between the earlier Z1s and the Z900.? My Z1 (1973) arrived with a Z900 front end. I had assumed it was just the front wheel and forks that were wrong. These have now been swapped for the correct items but i have now noticed the headlight ear...

Re: New member with "Z1 project"

I have a pukka manual thanks to "8 valve Mark"........I know they are invaluable. The alternatives are rubbish...sorry Mr Haynes . !! Following my last post here is a pic of the original tank and the sad state of the speedo ! The drive connection on the back had come loose and wrecked the ...

New member with "Z1 project"

Hi Everyone. my name is Craig Taylor and I'm based in South Somerset UK. I have a varied collection of bikes although I must admit my soft spot is for the Kwaka triples. (sorry !!) . An early Z1 was always on the "wish list " but prices just seem crazy....that was until the attached came a...
