Re: Z1100R First Ride Problem

Thanks. Checking the tank seems like a good idea. What about the leak, any advice there? Jon

Re: Z1100R First Ride Problem

Took the bike to Wilton House (Salisbury) Biker Breakfast yesterday. The bike had been parked up with the Pingel fuel tap off and was reluctant to start, but it did eventually. Filled up just outside Salisbury and although it started on the button, as usual it was grumpy & spluttery for the firs...

Re: New Z1100R Owner

Thanks Ben, agreed, ignoring the way they look they’re actually really great bikes to ride. As for the looks - I’m still at the point where I spend too much time in the garage just looking at it. Be nice to see a pic of yours. Jon

Re: Z1100R First Ride Problem

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I’m returning to this world – the last time I got involved in all this sort of issue was my old and much-missed XJR1300. Re: New Z1100R Owner

Thanks chaps! Having fun trying to insure it with an agreed value and no NCB. One company wanted £15 to agree the value, but then wanted photos which they would submit to an "expert" for their opinion - and if it was less than I would accept, they would refund the £15. Others seem happy to...

New Z1100R Owner

Hi all After literally years of agonising, I’m very pleased to say that I’m the buyer of Tonka’s Z1100R ( http://z1ownersclub.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45018 ). I know it’s a fair bit of money, but it seems like such an excellent example that I jumped once the previous “buyer” disappeared...
