Re: Z900A4 float levels
I bolted my carbs to a piece of MDF then held the whole lot in a vice vertically/horizontally, connected my fuel supply and did all my fuel height measurements and adjustments like this. Thats as good as you can get i think.

Z900A4 Brake pad fit in the mount
Guys, The method of brake pad location in the caliper mounting bracket is something i havent worked with for a long time so im not sure how snug the pad should be in the correspondingly shaped hole? Is it a nice sliding fit in the hole or should it be fairly tight please? I'm referring to the pad ag...

Re: Z900A4 Black plugs
Just out of interest guys, aren't the choke plunger seals controlling air? If so then wouldnt leaking seals make for leaner running?

Z900A4 colour questions please
Hi guys, Can anyone help me with these queries please? 1. Has anyone found a good touch in match for dark emerald green please? 2. The sort of squat T shaped blanks that fit into the end of the swingarm for the chain adjusters to react against - mine are painted black. Is this correct please, or sho...

Re: cam timing....
Hi guys, I'm checking the cam timing on my A4. Looking at Andys timing marks he has the same as mine, i.e. in clockwise order the marks are T 1 f 4. The cam timing mark i assume is the T which is the 1st mark of the 4 marks. However when you look in the manual, the T mark is the 2nd mark of the seri...

Re: Z900A4 carb set up
Many thanks for the excellent reply. Is there any point in doing the static slide set up when i always balance the carbs dynamically after installation anyway?
Thanks and regards

Z900A4 carb set up
Hi guys, Recently bought an A4. Its a US import but not a KZ. After warm up its very flat picking up from idle, often dying when pulling away. Its spitting back thro no 4 Carb, so assume its unburnt fuel. I can see it doing this with the carb tops off during balancing, witnessed by a flame in the ca...
