Hello gents Can anyone point m in the right direction? I have a 1975 Z1 with a 1075cc big bore kit running 29mm smoothbore carbs. The bike has a standard airbox and exhaust but has been ported with street cams installed. The carbs have 120 mains and the needle setting is in the middle. When I got th...

Re: Z1B-900
as for the paint well I'll live with it for a while. TBH it's more the positioning of the stripes, the paint itself looks pretty close. Pic below is my old 'B', Paint & Stripes are factory original but was re-lacquered to cover a little fading. Note the bottom stripes rise from the back of the ...

Z1B-900
Here's a picture of my 1975 Z1B-900 all date codes are right. I got it for a bargain and have done a small amount of work, exhaust, chain guard, airbox and detailing, very low mileage (4600k).
Any ideas on a value?
Many thanks

Re: Z1 900 cylinder sleeve diameter
I'm guessing the bike has got KA627SL sleeves which are drop in for a 1015cc cylinder.
Does anyone know the standard O.D. of them (standard 1015cc sleeves)?
The 903cc barrel I have came without liners and I'm not sure if the casting has been bore out already.

Re: Z1 900 cylinder sleeve diameter
Great that makes sense, next question can you fit the 1075cc wiseco sleeves in the 903cc casting? The casting must be getting pretty thin? I see wiseco list the same sleeve for both

Z1 900 cylinder sleeve diameter
Hello can anyone please help, I have a 1975 Z1-B with the original engine but the previous owner used a 1075cc wisco kit with a Z1000 (1015cc) barrel. The bike has only done a few hundred miles on this rebuild. I want to change the barrel back to the original 903cc casting (which I have). Will the s...

Z1B oil cooler
Hello all I have a 1975 Z1B-900 with what I believe is a original kawasaki oil cooler? part number B006109D. My problem is that I also have a NHK steering damper, but I can't seem to fit it as it fouls the oil cooler when turning. Any suggestions on how these were supposed to work together or if you...
