Getting a Z1000st soon
It's a bit mad Max stylee and looks terrible (I love it) and apart from a few things I will be looking to do myself I do want to improve the front brakes. What's the best mod? It already has braided hoses.

Also, what's the best way to upgrade the brakes? It's fitted with braided hose but would different calipers help? If so which ones?

It handles ok. The geometry hasn't changed, just the riding position. I found it heavy in the corners as well.

That's the thing with rat bikes..... They look like they do but are totally legal. The exhaust came from a z1 engined Harris and the plate is side mounted on the left. Other than what I mentioned my only other concern is the electrics. The headlights seem really poor and I will get a more original h...

Hi all. Currently looking at a 1980 z1000st. It's a bit of a rat/survival machine and far from standard. Having said that it is sound and solid. What are the main issues to look for, problems that arise etc. It may have the 1075 big bore kit on it and it certainly goes like a scalded cat so not unha...
