Re: First ride out in ages...

That’s a stunner! I wish my engine was as clean as that!

I’ve just fitted a new seat cover which I got from pit replica on eBay after reading good things about them on here. I have to say the quality of the cover was superb and It fitted really well. Is yours from pit replica?

Re: Z1000A1 Float Bowl Drain Screws

I’ve checked them out and they look ok. I’ve even superglued a small disc of 240 grit wet an dry onto the end of a piece of 9mm steel bar and tried to dress the face by hand to ensure it’s smooth.

I’m really trying to avoid taking the bowls off again if possible.

Z1000A1 Float Bowl Drain Screws

Hi All, After a recent rebuild of the carbs on my A1 I’m having trouble getting a good seal on the round brass float bowl drain screws. I’ve tried standard size o rings, slightly larger o rings with a bigger cross section, I’ve tried silicone rubber seals Punched from a sheet of 3mm thick silicone r...

Re: Z1000 a1/2 rear spoked hub or wheel.

I have a spare rear hub from an A1 that I won’t be using.

It’s in good shape other than the pressed on chrome spoke ring is a little pitted and it needs new bearings!

First ride out today since Sept 19!

Just been out on the A1 for the first time since September last year and the first time since carb overhaul and new bars/switchgear etc. Can’t believe how well it goes now the carbs are right and in balance. Just got an annoying weep from a couple of the float bowl drain screws even with new o rings...
