My son had the same problem with his Harley, it would run OK then stop instantly then not start till it had cooled down. Everyone told him it was fuel but they will generally die slowly if its fuel related as it burns the weakening fuel mixture, stopping instantly is usually electrical. You need to ...

I had a couple of GS550's in the late 80's great bikes but bloody heavy! Nearly bought a 1000 a couple of years back but couldn't raise enough money. :(

Nice job, but as you know deep pockets are required. Unfortunately there are big child and grandchild size holes in my pockets which is why its taken so long!! :D I will have to clean up the rest of the bike myself and replace what I can when I can but first objective is to get it back on the road ...

Finally starting to rebuild my 650 after 6 years languishing in the garage. After having the engine aqua blasted by Wayne at Wizard Customs on Sheppey I had to make the rest of the bike look just as good. Powder coating seems to have become expensive now, last frame I had done cost £60 and had quote...

It seized one of the main bearings and gouged grooves into the crank, got another crank now, got some new bearings and starting to put it all back together when I have the time.
