Takasago 185 x 19 5K 305 front rim for sale
5K front Takasago rim for sale. Recently re-chromed by Prestige Electroplaters, and has turned out real nice with no loss of clarity of the Takasago , etc stampings. Rim was quite nice when removed from the hub. My 900 A4 has now gone, so no longer needed. Looking to get back what it has cost me, so...

Re: Z1B seat stay
So, the stay on my Z1B measures just 95mm long. If it were 115mm long as the one pictured then I have no doubt it would "do its job" as Kawasaki intended and prevent the seat opening too far and yet stay open. If the stay in unhooked as suggested so the seat can open fully then it comes to...

Z1B seat stay
So, what is wrong with the attached? The seat stay seems too short in that when the seat is opened as far as the stay will allow, it will not stop in the open position (and falls shut again) UNLESS it is unhooked and the cable tie you can see used to effectively lengthen the stay a little. The bike ...

Re: re chromed rear rim
Agbrigg!!
TWO bad experiences with them, one involving a rim. NEVER again.
I now only use Prestige Electroplaters at Mexborough - great people, great work. Date coded 900 A4 front rim came out perfect with no loss of definition of the date markings, as have quite a number of DID stamped rims now.

Re: Takasago rim codes
With exception of the date code, the rim pictured is identical to the one I have. The listing title is however for a 1.85 x 18 rim, which is not the one pictured. And a check via the CMS web site suggests that the Z400 did not have a 2.15 x 18 rear rim, rather a 1.85 x 18 to suit its 3.50 x 18 tyre ...

Takasago rim codes
I've been looking for a 5K or 5L dated rear wheel rim for my UK Z900A4 for some time now, and at Stafford this weekend came across one. 5L code, but suffered the usual butchery to the rim edges during previous tyre changes and so needs re-chrome. Cheap enough though. HOWEVER, in the cold light of da...

Z1B engine oil label
Anyone know where you can get the correct engine oil label for a Z1B. All the ones I have come across via eBay, etc appear to be a later version (possibly for the 900A4). The original one on my Z1B was as the in the image .......
Thanks

Re: Z1B head gasket
Thanks for the reply, very helpful. I had a look at the new and old gaskets today - the new o-ring measures 3.8mm thick which is approx. 0.2mm thinner than the original compressed one which was fitted with the two piece gasket. The barrel groove is 2.25mm thick, hence the new o-ring would need to be...

Z1B head gasket
So, some clarification regarding head gaskets for a 1975 Z1B please. The gaskets which were fitted when I dismantled were the two piece type with a centre o-ring, as per the parts list. The gasket set (Hendstler I believe) I picked up before dismantling the engine, and supposedly suitable for a Z1B ...

Z900 A4 brake caliper pistons
My UK 900 A4 needs new brake caliper pistons. Plenty of pattern ones available, but they all look different to those that came out of my callpers. Mine have an inner "puck" with a slight dome on it that pushes onto the metal shim on the back of the moving pad. All the pattern ones appear t...

Z900 A4 wheels
Need a pair of wheels (or just rims) for the above with late 1975 date codes. 5K or 5L would be correct. I have a front with 5H date coded rim as a possible trade, or will buy.
Thanks.
Thanks.
