The issue was the mk2 cdi has a different advance curve hence the issue I had. At the end of the day the pickups themselves are dumb and wi...

Z650 Frame with V5 wanted

Anyone got a decent Z650 frame (Not CSR or SR) with a valid V5 they want to sell.

Re: Z1000-J2 Cafe racer project

Nice, looks simple until you study the detail work.
Different and nice job.

Would be interested in seeing how it runs with those big carbs and what jetting you have as I may fit some onto the one I am building but thought 39's might be a tad large.

Re: Harris Build

I never had the bottom end apart, the motor came from Marlin so may have been a graham salter motor.
Interesting amount of filler on the tank as before I gave it to the painter to do it green, I ran it bare like this.

Re: 1000j - GPz 1100 Ignition run on a 75 900

I trust Rob's judgement and it may work that way,I went the opposite way and i ran a z1000mk2 ignition on a gpz engine and it fried it when it got hot the pistons detonated around the edges. Personally I would say just buy a dyna s and be done with it. Gpz stuff is still 30 years old and does not us...

Also the engine was stress tested by lending it to my mate for Spa, it passed with flying colours and is a strong engine, although he fried the clutch. :??
