Re: Cam caps bolts - stripped threads

Martin, I use 7" record G clamps to take up the tension, much easier and granular than ratchet straps would be (I would imagine as I have never used ratchet straps) You can get plastic ones as well.

Re: GPZ1100 Frame

There was a z1r frame for sale on here yesterday. You would be better buying that. I used to run a z1r tank on an a1 so bodywork should not be a problem. I think an engine internals transfer would be difficult. You can fit gpz heads to earlier engines but gearbox clutch cranks etc i suspect would no...

Re: GPZ1100 Frame

I am thinking of going the other way has anybody done the reverse, GPZ into z1000/900 frame it must be possible as non kickstart engines should be shorter.
If anyone has pics or tips it would be useful.

GPZ11 Z1000J etc. liner/std barrels needed

Looking for a standard liner to replace one liner and 1170 piston that has damage to it.

Will consider anything with at least one standard size liner as it will be bored to 1170 anyway.

Can anyone help?

Also if anyone has an 1170 wiseco new high comp piston kicking about give us a shout.

Cheers.

Re: Forks to short

The rolling dimensions between a 17 and 18" tends to be about 1/2" less due to the tyre profiles of the front wheels. Bobs and Als bikes all use 18" wheels and I think this helps the clearance issue. Offset is obviously different as modern forks have much less offset that the old gpz/...
