If there’s another set anywhere I would be interested in buying them. John.

Bottom engine mount
Been fitting new mounting plates from PMC on my Z1000A2, 3 are in place but I'm nervous about tackling the bottom one as it looks a tad tricky getting the tear shaped nut back in. I have the standard exhaust fitted and can't see an easy solution that allows me to do this without taking the exhaust o...

Swapping rear shocks.
On the Z1000 A2 with the standard exhausts do the bottom bolts for the shocks come out or do I have to faff around with the exhausts? Thanks everyone!

I like that! A lot.

Re: Brake upgrade
Bought the Harrison, lovely bit of work, having it fitted at the end of the month along with braided brake lines.

Re: Glad to be here
The only things getting done are electronic ignition, new rear sprocket - was 35 teeth, going back to 33, new rear disc, Harrison Billet front caliper (4 piston), braided steel brake lines, carbs are not very well set up, so it's going in at the end of the month to have them checked, possibly alloy ...

Recently joined, made a couple of posts but here she is. I won't be keeping her completely standard, bust just a couple of basic things to keep her going.

Re: Billet engine mounts
Thanks for the answers, I saw that Z power arent doing them but Cybike are - very expensive. I spoke with a member nad he told me he had made his own so i fancy having a go at that and have bought some 10mm plate. Need to think about a decent aluminium file now!

Billet engine mounts
I'm after a set of alloy billet engine mounts for a Z1000 A2, I believe all the 900 and 1000 variations share the same mounts, correct me if I'm wrong. New or used would be fine and any new bolts that need to go with them. I was recommended them many years ago by Stuart at Big Four Engineering. What...

Re: performance brake callipers
Pretech are closing down, they hope someone will buy the business but still have some stock. I called for a calliper for my Z1000A2 but they haven't got back to me - he said he would if they had one. Shame.
I've ordered a Harrison now.

Re: Link or continuous drive chain?
I only ever saw a series of photos of one bike, a Z900 which had a duplex chain fitted as its final drive. The write up said he had never had to adjust it. Never seen one since.

Brake upgrade
Hi all, new to the forum but I have a '78 Z1000 A2, single disc model. Any advice on a decent brake upgrade whether that be a dual disc conversion you have for sale or an alternative caliper set up. Many thanks.
