As for the diamond cutting aspect of it, block of wood start off with 180 grit sandpaper I just worked the way down to about 1000 to get a decent polish on the aluminium. Wouldn’t even take that long to do.

Can be fitted but not locked, seen guys rivet on a Z1000 latch but you have to make sure that you get your placement right. Other than that, this is a Z1 only seat.
