Hi Graham.....I can see what Zed9 means...the float needle isn't sitting central in the housing..it looks like it's sitting to one side and not seating properly. As he says you will get new assemblies in the kits.

hibernation over
The day after I had my heart attack in November my forward thinking wife threw a padded cover over this old girl as she was sitting outside. On the mend now so took the cover off today and reckon the bike has survived pretty well....wee bit of surface rust on the pipe but that's it.. 20240324_165629...

Oops.....need tank repaired
After a little incident in the shed I now need to repair the tank from the z1000. It has quite a deep crease in the side which would take about 3 tins of bodyfiller  20230807_154038.jpg 20230807_154000.jpg I think it's well beyond my 'skills'. Anyone any ideas on how to proceed? Pressurise it? ...

Re: Dyna s setting up
With the light set up on the 1-4 coil, HOLD the rotor in the fully advanced position and rotate the crankshaft until the light comes on....this should be on or as near as dammit to the 1-4 F mark. If not, adjust the backplate and try again. Move light to 2-3 coil and repeat...if light doesn't come o...

Re: z1000a1 rear footrest bracket
So....length is 59mm, width 28mm.
Flat top section where pin fits through is 23mm, leaving 36mm on the slopes.
Distance between bolt hole and locating hole is 15mm centre to centre.
If you don't mind checking a 650 one when you've got time Warren, that would be great. No rush!
Thank you.
