Here is a video of the bike starting up, hopefully it encourages someone to buy it.

Re: Z1100 Shaft for sale
Hi Gary
Bike not sold yet.
I just checked under the bike and the Delkivic exhaust does allow access to the oil filter when it is fitted.
Cheers

Z1100 Shaft for sale
I have decided to part with my 1981 Z1100 as I now have two bikes and am taking a change in career which requires some training costs to be paid. It is a German model originally restored by Chiemgau-Classics.com in Germany. I bought it from a dealer in Kent who had owned it for a couple of years. In...

Re: Project ... horrible ... but looks good
So what did you have to do to the bike you bought? Engine work, paint and wheel alignment a minimum I suspect.
Looks better for sure, got a video of ot running with that exhaust on?

Z1100ST Enging Bars, Rack, Pannier Mounts
Anyone got any of the above???
Mine is an A1 if it makes any difference, not sure it does. Maybe 1000J engine bars are the same, identical engine and mounting points I believe.
Don't have to be like new, re-chroming is not an issue.
Cheers

Re: Speedo and tacho foam
I would take some too for my 1100ST, same as 1000J clocks. They do move even though nuts are tight, might solve it.

Re: Plug fouling
Thanks Chris While ordering the bits from Z Power I asked the guy there if they new anyone and he did recommend an individual much closer to home. However, I have since discovered that one of my steam friends used to work at a bike workshop, has had multiple bikes and is more than capable apparently...

Re: Plug fouling
Thanks ZED1015 I was rather hoping it could be a no jead off job. I do agree if it is then valve seats and everything done does make sense for the long run. Its expense that was not planned though and no idea what it would cost. Need to find a reputable parson to do it though, before the weather get...

Re: Plug fouling
Oil fouling due to a leaking valve stem seal or flooding due to leaky carb float valve. Pull the plug before starting and see if it smells of fuel or oil. Chances are it's the stem seal. I seam to be having a similar problem with my left plug but no symptoms after being stood, it seems to happen on...

Re: Hello everyone
I would be up for that, we would also heading over your way too, plus need a trip to Devils Bridge for old times sake although all the corners were straightened out and a by-pass added (and a lot more traffic) have somewhat changed the route for the worse since the 80s. Last time I passed Settle on...

Re: My Z1100
Very nice, I just got mine today. Bought without physically seeing a d test riding it. However, now I have ridden it, lovely bike to ride. First time having shaft drive for me too. I wanted to ask where you got the engine bars from, can you still get them? Would like to put some on mine to protect i...

Re: Z1100STA1 UK Speedometer and Owners Handbook
Thanks to all who replied so far. Regarding the replacement face I would prefer to keep the original one for the bike.
Interesting that it is the same as my old Z1000J, hadn't realised that, it is a long time since I looked at mine though.
I will start with a call to John Browse.
Cheers

Re: Hello everyone
A bit like ours back in the day, my modified Z1000J, mates GPz750 twin shocker, a GT750 and a GS1000, happy days. It was even more fun when at the Vulcan pub in Blackburn when a couple of the lads had a GPz1100 Unitrack out too, complete with twin headlamp full fairing and another had the 750 Unitra...

Re: Hello everyone
Absolutely brilliant, rides like a brand new bike, Igor did a good job over in Germany with this bike, there is nothing else to say. Looking forward to warm and dry days to come
Hope to see some of you out there soon.
