Just forgetting the timing issue for a moment, check on the new points plate and check that the very small nuts holding the wires to the points are tight. I brought one of those zpower plates and the nut on the right was loose causing dodgy running. Once tightened all was well but in fact, in my cas...

To help removal of tank turn the tap 90 degrees first

Yankee doodle dandy
For decades now I have alternated between zeds and american vehicles. My last yank was a dodge srt10 quad cab (google it). Awesome rare beast but very very thirsty. Anyway, today I was out blowing the cobwebs off the A4 and was very surprised to ride past an srt10 for sale. Hummmmmm.
