I’m happy to go along but having an 80’s bike I’ll display only.

Re: Z1000-A1 Main Loom routing?

Mike. From memory the loom has to go between the air box and frame under the forward and upper side panel fixing. The only annoying thing is you may have to remove or at least move the air box to move it there.

Re: Z750 engine.

Thanks for the replies.
I’ve passed this on to the local bike shop who made the enquiry in the first place.

Poor sod of an owner has a Z750 bobber which threw a rod. I don’t think any option will be cheap?

Z750 engine.

My local bike shop is in need of an engine for a customer.
Marked KZ750EE neither of us are sure what model it is. 1983-84 is the only information I can give.
Anyone know of one?

Re: J/R etc helmet lock bracket

Chris. Your picture shows what I believe to be a 550 model lock bracket. How it fits I don’t know but the UK version just fixes to the existing frame bracket with 2 screws like this.

Re: Eleanor - Damaged car.

I’ve got to get there. Trains are subject to delays and cancellations and to go in the van would be a poor show. Actually it’s a stones throw from Stoneleigh so roads are major between here and there.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Re: Eleanor - Damaged car.

Back from the body shop yesterday I spent the morning final footing ancillary parts. I’ll have to order some more of the plastic clips and other parts as well as pop back for pinstriping to be added. I need the car for a trip to Warwick so rushed the body shop. Mrs TLC took this photo of my intrepid...

Re: Eleanor - Damaged car.

Trouble with that Neil is that all the parts I need are the popular and broken bits. Wings for example are a nightmare. £150 for something rusty is not good. Try finding a clean one though.

Anyhow, some progress. I have the bumper back from the body shop to build up.

Re: RACK FOR Z1000J WANTED

The thing with the J is that support for any rail or rack has to go through the lock bolts. Therefore to fit one you have to remove the other. The instructions actually state it is necessary to chop the helmet/seat lock to make it fit. I managed to do so without doing this by using another lock as I...
