Re: Would Z1000ST forks and yokes fit my Z1000J

Appreciate what your saying about heavy steering. If you raise the rear that would help. Problem is everything is a compromise, unless you bespoke engineer it all

The trick when building a fj12 chop was to use dt125r tubes.4" over IIRC

Have you considered a zr1100 front end?

Re: Would Z1000ST forks and yokes fit my Z1000J

As a rough guide I would check the headrace bearing sizes.

Would it not be easier to get longer fork tubes?

Re: Refurbing Badges

Let me say from the off I am just guessing

Strip whole thing

liqued mask the edge

paint whole thing white

Then either mask the white as well and spray or use a brush for the black

Love the satin black :D

Re: Sump Pan Removal Z1000A1

Have you tried some heat? Less gentle tapping. Are there any pry points? My go to method- swearing and alcohol  At the risk of sounding like a complete and utter twunt, check the bolts are all out and the oil filter bolt isn't holding everything in. Yep, I did both on other bikes, the shame :oo...
