Quick update Managed to hook up the wiring loom too all the ancillary electrical components, issues with earthing, but sorted. Swopped out the black box with an other spare as suspect faulty , made bracket to mount the coils I top of the rocker box cover , new ignition and key “ it lives , I’ve got ...

Hi can anyone identify the component attached to one of the coils circled in blue. Does not seem to show on the information I have downloaded for the electronic ignition?. Thanks in advance of any replies.

Thanks for that information, the one on the bottom picture is a separate one I have, the top 2 pictures show the the other unit minus the box on the engine i’m sure I’ll find the box amongst things.

I have Z900 completely in parts except engine and carbs,. It looks to have electronic ignition ? But can’t find the main unit or identify the manufacturer, pictures attached , can any of you more experienced individuals identify the electronic ignition on the engine?.
