Kawasaki KZ900 A4 1976 A Restored piece of history

Kawasaki 1976 KZ900 A4 (Z900) The bike was imported from the USA into the UK during 2019 and has since had a full nut and bolt restoration, with no expense spared, to achieve the most authentic and original look possible. It features numerous NOS (new‐old stock parts) where possible. The only signif...

Re: Kawasaki Z1000 A1

Hi Warren, that’s my KZ900 museum piece!.all sorted now. I saw this Z1000 when it was still partly in boxes. I’ve always fancied a Z1000 as a run around, as you know! Wondered if it was still for sale. I had a Z650, for a while, which I probably should have kept! I’m currently commissioning an April...

Re: Garage Lift

Hi I watched a few vids on the Sky lift and it's certainly not for me. I am 'faff' adverse and just want a ride/push-on, ride/pull-off solution. A bike can live on the lift. So space isn't really an issue. I also have a scissor lift if I need to add more height for a particular service reason. Probi...

Re: Garage Lift

Hi, so I think I'm sorted for the lift, but would like to know what ratchet straps (or buckle) folks prefer, for those no-center stand bikes.
I guess they need to be flexible, not too big, and reliable.

Thanks for any input.

Re: Garage Lift

Thanks for the info. The Clarke looks the part, but £684 is the best price I can find and it's a bit pricey for what I need. There's a Switzer one for £509 - The medium-sized one with a bigger ramp (The YouTube vids are of the smaller one) Which seems ok. There aren't many good used ones around and ...

Garage Lift

Dear Learned Z1 folks, I want my bike to be higher when I’m cleaning and tinkering in the garage, my back, knees, blah, blah! I need a lift that I can easily roll on to and leave the bike on its center stand (KZ900) and just pump it up (probably hydraulic or electric) as and when I want to, in order...

Re: KZ900 A4 - Any twin disc conversion gurus out there?

Thanks, Kev, appreciate the comments. I kind of think brakes are consumables, so it eases the 'bitterness'! I have learned, that even if someone purports to be an experienced Zed builder and has rebuilt bikes with a ton of detail, you need to be sure it's road worthy. There have been a number of iss...

Re: KZ900 A4 - Any twin disc conversion gurus out there?

Thanks to Warren for a sounding board on this. I bought a KZ900 bike with a twin-disc conversion, only the discs were the wrong O/D size, the master cycl was the wrong size, the 40 yr old hoses were potentially dangerous (especially as they felt a bit lumpy?) So I will have to put this right...........

KZ900 A4 - Any twin disc conversion gurus out there?

Hi
I recently purchased an A4 with a twin-disc conversion.
I have a couple of issues I'd like to run through offline.
Please email me and I'll fill in the details and respond with some photos.

Many thanks for any help.
Kev
