Very nice. I saw Doug Polen race one of those at Daytona 1992. He kept swapping the lead with Scott Russell who was on a ZX750. They kept draughting each other flat out around the banking full tilt. It was one hell of a race.

Well If I had a spare mill going and got my hands on one of those beauties, made to the same design using the same materials and tooling in the same factory with the same badge. And we were down the pub. And you said REPLICA to my face. There would be an argument which would degenerate into handbags...

E-Type Jaguar Superlights

I watched a good programme on last night about Jaguar building 6 more E-Type Superlights to bring the number up to the twelve there was originally supposed to be. (C4 with Mark Evans) Wow. They are works of art. I couldn't believe the snobbery involved against them either from the likes of Lord Marc...

Fantastic time. It was a non stop craic. My liver needs some time off. The old girl ran like a dream. It's great riding with a bunch and pouring on the coals across France. Thanks ChrisU and BunnyZ for organising it. Whatever is on the cards for next year, I'm up for it. Count me in.

Fill up in Portsmouth, so that we're all full when we hit the beach in France? Maybe a good idea given the time we land.

You could do the OPRV with the engine in situ. It would be very fiddly though. I did it engine out which is a doddle with GPZ900s due to the spine frame. I was doing a fairly major resto though, so it suited my purposes to do it that way in any case. I think you could do a lot worse than join the GP...

I had a go on Powerbiking's demo of those when they came out in '86, so C reg sounds right for a first year model. I wound it up along the A5 in Milton Keynes. It was ludicrously fast compared to the GPZ750R I had at the time. I never liked the look of it though. I've got a GPZ900R now. I think it's...

I'm looking forward to it! I've done my homework already. Here's a picture to prove it. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah129/philbaker903/EaglesNest16-2-0210_zpsc273f170.jpg If you know Band of Brothers, you'll know where the picture was taken. My B has had an adjustable steering damper on it for the 12 years I've owned it. The handling is really good. I'm well happy when out giving it some through the twisties and roundabouts. Take both hands off the bars and the steering stays straight at any speed. So I assumed it had to be a combinatio...
