Hi Guys, I have managed to buy the missing sprocket carrier for my original set of Z1000A2 wheels, so now I'm looking for a good builder who can refurb my hubs and build me a pair. my A2 is non-standard , 1100, injected, CMA wheels, Brembo Brakes. So I don't need originality. I think I'd like to go ...

Fuel pressure regulator
Hi Gents, My Z1000 A2 has a DFI system from a 1983 ZX1100 (GPZ Unitrac). It had been off the road for about 5 years and recommissioning has been a bit of a nightmare as the fuel had turned into brown stinky goo. The tank was rusty and crusty and required tumbling with bolts in and then electrolytica...

Re: Identify this Ignition?
Thanks for that, How odd. I'm building the 750 motor from 5 engines that were put in store with another bike shop. They were disassembled 35 years ago, by some helpful git and so I have crates full of parts all mixed up. It appears that they robbed various bits and in some cases replaced with others...

Identify this Ignition?
Hi Guys, just getting to the end of my Z750 engine build, and horror! I cannot find the ignition puck-ups or advancer / governor. I did find my spare Z1000 MK2 set, a new ZX11 set and half a dozen IC Igniters, and a set that I cannot identify. They are not Kawasaki made, but fit the 750 cases. They ...

Re: Boring out carbs
Thanks for the explanation Dave. One issue I have is the inlet rubbers, although the carb sets are on the same pitch there are two body sizes: The 650 bodies have approximately 24mm bores and are 31mm OD at the rubbers, The Z1/Z1000 bodies with either 26mm or 28mm bores are 34mm OD at the rubbers. I...

Re: Black Engine painted side casings.
I always used VHT SP-139 GM Satin Black good results, but that was many years ago.
Is the Sperex / Simoniz better than VHT?
also, am I right in thinking that Sperex and Simoniz are the same product?

Re: Boring out carbs
Interesting,
I'm building a Z750 motor for my son, and the 34mm CVs are pretty tired, so wondered about some bored out 26s.
I have spare 28s but didn't want to use them as they are the originals from my 1000A2.
When you bore them to 30mm will they match the flow of say the 29mm smoothbores?
