Got my Z1000a1 out this morning , no clutch , floppy clutch lever . Ok i thought snapped cable or nipple come off the end . Stripped the cover off and no problem there , must be the other side . Moved the bike over in the garage and removed the cover , removed the bolts & springs & pressure ...

Only fuel screw underneath . I now believe they are off a KZ1000a2

Hi all , just purchaced some carbs listed as Z1000 26mm but when i measured the internal bore on the cylinder head end they are 26.8mm . Am i right in thinking they are 27mm .

DK have used cylinder heads usualy requiring work , but with cam brg caps missing . Whats wrong with yours ?

I have been chasing an engine noise since i got this Z1000a1 last April . I am now sure its no2 inlet bucket/follower . When the engine was rebuilt and put in the frame it was run for 10 minutes ( cam bearings & lobes and followers had been oiled ) the cam cover was removed and the exhaust cam w...

I am told that upon removal of the cam cover on a Z1/a/b/1000 it is quite normal to see far less oil around the inlet cam than around the exhaust cam ? I have poor oil supply/feed to the inlet cam . The engine has been out , stripped and everything is fine . All oil gallerys are clear and all oilway...

Went for £64 .  cheap ?? Yes i saw the broken brass tube .... quite common i think
