Hi all
Does anybody know what causes the rev to not drop as quick as they should? When I blip the throttle it’s sometimes slow to come back down to idle !
Any help would be much appreciated.(1979z1000st)

Hi Steve No that’s not the part You have al them It’s the check valve in the lower section of no 2 float bowl It’s a blank off to stop the fuel from the pump running back to the float bowl It’s not available as a separate item it comes complete with the float bowl This is the reply from the guy sort...

Hi all So Oz At Z parts has had a look at the carbs and has noticed on the no2 carb with the pumper on there is a bit missing inside the float bowl ! Checked all connections , nothing amiss, I can’t have shorted something out could I ? I was getting spark before I swapped them over ! I’m at a loss mate !

I swapped the two wires on the same coil not coil to coil does that make a difference ? Now that I have swapped them back there is no spark from that coil ?

Well just swapped the wires on the coil that does 2and 3 because it looked that it was wrong according to a wiring diagram and now I have no spark on these cylinders at all ! Tried a new coil on that side and still nothing ! Would I have blown a fuse? It’s firing on 1&4 still

Another thought !
If the low tension connections to the coils were the wrong way round would this cause the back firing etc ??

Does anybody know what the accelerator pump does on carb no2 ? Apparently on US models z1000st , when I look at carb rebuild kits it says not suitable for these carbs ??
