Re: Clutch Bite Point / Lever Movement
Update on this for anyone having similar issues? Stripped the clutch to check the springs and friction plates. Not too bad at all but bought new EBC replacements anyway. Then found that the EBC springs were shorter than the ones I took out with a different number of coils - after putting everything ...

Fuel Tap Blanking Cap
I need to remove the fuel tap from my A4 tank and blank the threaded entry off to clean and treat the tank internally and from what I've found, I believe that the thread for the fuel tap is 22mmx1.0mm? Struggling to get anything like this - could always use a tapered rubber bung but I wondered if an...

'New' A4
Well, my Z1R has finally gone after 26 years of fun (to a very good home!) and I've had the summer to tidy up and settle into owning the A4 that I've always wanted. Got repro clocks on at the moment - anyone got a set of ND's going spare?.....
Love both these bikes!

Re: Clutch Bite Point
what about the mid cable adjuster? And are the clutch plates worn/ buckled ?? Thanks mate but as far as I'm aware, the mid cable adjuster just changes the length of the outer sleeve for lever play? You might be right about the plates tho - the clutch still works OK (but there's VERY little lever mo...

Clutch Bite Point / Lever Movement
Hi all My A4 is running so much better after changing the plugs and caps, thoroughly cleaning the carbs internally and getting the choke plunger seals changed (top job from Rob Meggitt!) Got a little niggle with the clutch bite point however which is right at the end of the lever and seems to be eit...

A4 Plug Caps
Quick question time :) Just about to order a new set of NGK spark plug caps but at the moment, I have 3 x LB05F-R (90 degree elbows) on cylinders 1,2 &3 and 1 x YB05F-R (120 degree Elbow - short) on cylinder 4 that the previous owner fitted? Should there be 2 x 90 degree ones on 1 and 4 and 2 x ...

Re: Z900A4 float levels
My A4 also coughs and splutters a bit at tick over and lower revs (plugs seem to indicate a little 'rich' on cylinders 1-3 and 'lean' on number 4) and I'm hoping that new choke plunger seals will improve things but am also looking at the float levels whilst I've got the carbs on the bench (Rob is c...

Re: Z900A4 float levels
Also, is it simply a case of unscrewing the pilot jet on number 4 and (carefully) using one of the tiny, soft bristle 'carb cleaning' brushes to check for blockages? Unscrew it and hold it up to the light to see if it's blocked. A brush won't get in there however small and it will need poking clear...

Re: Replacement Front Mudguard
When rebuilding my Z900, my front mudguard had been damaged, so I bought a new one from Z Power. The quality is every bit as good as the original. There were other parts which were cheaper from Z Power than re-chroming the originals, so I bought them instead and was very happy with the quality Nice...
