Re: wheel rim problem

Just seen this post, i too live in East Yorks Hull, i bought a new rim for my Z900 A4 as the chrome on my other was very poor to say the least, have kept old Takasago rim though. Anyway i respoked the rear wheel a while back myself as again spokes were very rusty and pitted. I used Phillipes guide t...

I also tried with cable from clutch housing inside frame and outside frame no difference. However when i look at bars thin...

Re: 1976 Z900 A4 Plug Thread

A while ago now i stripped my Z900 A4 engine for full rebuild and vapour blasting, whilst everything was i bits decided the cylinder head needed some work, new valve guides, head skim and to assess minute cracks ( which forum advised was normal) etc. I also noticed that 1 of the plug threads had bee...

Re: Z900 A4 sticking clutch

Well if thats true theres no appreciable play in any of the plates to pins, youd expect with 1/2" difference you'd be able to feel it when you pull and push it on the links? Anyway regardless new ones in place now so problem sorted, least that side of it, time will tell on the remainder. Clutch...

Re: Z900 A4 sticking clutch

Yes thanks Rob i did remember, counted from next after mark, cant believe how much original chain had stretched. Realky surprised me! Measured both, new one nearly 1/2 " shorter then old one yet appeared to be no play in links themselves, so guessing extra is every part has stretched a small am...

Afternoon Guys, thanks for all the comments they helped Friend made a solid steel plate 5" x 1" suitably drilled to match cylinder head cam cover holes, then bolted down tightly, this had 2 clamps 1 at either end to hold camchain tight against the plate so as not to move. Then the top link...

Re: CArb balancing tool to loan please

Re: CArb balancing tool to loan please

Theres some Morgan Carbtune ones listed on ebay at moment, think cheapest are £100 inc postage, but their upright tube type rather then circular gauge as in your photo. If your carbs are anything like most posters on here then they will probably need constant fettling to keep at their best. So may b...

Re: CArb balancing tool to loan please

I bought a set off ebay same as photo, thinking i could use them on the Z900 complete waste of money, def not worth buying the cheaper ones ie below £60. Even with the adjusment valves almost closed needles bounce around so much so they're unuseable. You would be better borrowing a decent set from a...
